How to fix closed eyes in photos
Choose a clear original, check the detected person and review the repaired eyes before saving your photo.

OriginalRepairedStart with the original photo
Upload the original JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 50 MB. A clear face with visible eyelids gives the repair more information. Screenshots, social-media copies and heavily compressed photos can lose the eye detail needed for a natural result. Use the original file when you have it.
Check the person before repairing
Renilo detects closed eyes automatically. In a group photo, check that the intended person is selected. If detection is unclear, select that person manually and confirm the selection. Each repair handles one person; it does not open every closed eye in a group at once.
Understand what can change
Completed eye repairs adjust the eyes while preserving the rest of the original photo. Without a reference photo, the generated eye details are estimates. Small faces, blur, sunglasses and partly hidden eyes make a convincing repair less predictable. Review any result marked as needing a check.
Confirm the cost and start
Uploading and initial checks are available before payment. Sign in and add credits when you are ready. A standard repair costs 10 credits. After confirming the repair, allow about 1–5 minutes; timing can vary. You can return from My repairs instead of submitting the same photo again.
Compare and save your result
Use the before-and-after slider and inspect the eyes at a useful zoom level. Check the gaze, eyelids and whether the expression fits the person. Save the PNG within 24 hours of upload. Keep your original separately, especially for wedding, graduation or family photographs.
If the repair does not look right
Try a sharper original or a photo with a larger, more visible face. AI cannot reliably recover eye details that were never captured. A result needing review does not automatically qualify for a credit return. Confirmed unbilled processing failures follow the credit rules in Terms & refunds.
